What the F*** do you do for 568h? My god man do you play tail a story with your fairy tail wife or something lol that's pathetic. I played 14 Hours beat the main quest and said to myself yep this game is oblivion with dragons with a new coat of paint that runs like ass for what it is.

Agreed, but even then, there's a limit to how much interesting content the game actually has.
For example, once you've done the main story quests and a heap of the side quests, you've seen pretty much all of the unique elements in the game.

You've seen all of the major locations, you've seen all of the environments, you've seen all of the enemy types, you've seen all of the hand-crafted adventuring scenarios (which are the best the game has to offer), you've seen more dragons than you'll ever want to see, you've talked to all of the interesting characters...everything following that won't feel new, fresh or exciting. It gets old fast.

Personally, I put 90 hours into it and feel absolutely no need to ever touch the game again.

I honestly don't see why anyone would want to play much more than that (since most of my 90 hours just involved screwing with the AI and trying to make my own fun). I also don't see why anyone would want to play through the game again with a new character (since nothing changes, and the game mostly ignores your attempts to roleplay).

Exploration ceased to be fun after the 30th random dragon fight.
Loot-hunting ceased to be fun once my character hit a reasonably high level and could tear through enemies with ease.
Questing ceased to be fun once you start digging into the side-quests, which are nowhere near as compelling as the main/guild ones.
Role-playing ceased to be fun once you realise that the game doesn't respond to who you are or what you do.

Considering all of those, why keep playing?

One word: Mods I have randomly generated field battles between factions in my game now, for example. I'm talking dozens to hundreds of NPCs charging Braveheart-sty1e in oven fields all randomly happening in the world.

Could you toss me the name of that mod? It sounds great. I have something like it for Just Cause 2 that just about doubles the fun factor of the game.

Warzones - Civil Unrest :)

purchased since release, 87 hours, I think it will extend to 100+ and beyond since mod communitiy is so cool.

crysis2 had my longest hours on steam 228 hours(moding, testing and messing with editor, same thing with crysis1) and crysis1 112hours, the longest game I played in last decade is Dark souls 511 hours, followed by demon's soul 275 hours, and I almost never play console

I didn't expect all the quest lines to be trash. i thought that maybe the one i finished at 30 hours was just the retarded sibling in an otherwise good line of quests. I was wrong

Still, you "forced" yoursefl to play for 100 hours a game that you don't like. Now that's retarded.

It was alright but it felt like Oblivion 1.5 so I only managed to play 22 hours before I got bored, where I put hundreds into Oblivion. They need to make a new engine and improve the combat, but that will naturally happen as the next one wont be until the next round of consoles.

Go to skyrim nexus. Install nexus mod manager. Install as many mods as you want its all automatic. I have like 50 mods and they are all useful. Best one is wars, it creates real life animal food chains where they kll each other and wolves hunt in packs, hunters chasing deer, the list is endless!

I think around 90 hours...bored of it now but one of my favorite games released in a very long time. In retrospect I think there's some stuff I think could use improvement, but overall an amazing game and experience.

You can easily do all of the quest content in about 120 hours. I've done nearly every unique sidequest in the game and did all the quest chains except thieves guild and the wizard school and I'm at 103 hours. I've also done a lot of wandering around. Haven't played any other characters yet though.

10 hours or so before I decided it wasn't worth my time or effort. Pretty shallow game and I don't think even modding can save this one like it did with Oblivion. I however think that my lack of interest of the game stems from the setting of the game. I don't like it. at all.

[QUOTE="Qixote"]

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"] then what is? In oblivion it actually took a good deal longer, and the music was better.

The game's quest had a sense of urgency that I shud rush, so I did. If they made the enemies like lvl9999 well then I would be forced to explore a bit more and all that stuff.

JigglyWiggly_

Doing just the main quest isn't even scratching the surface of the content in the game. Heck, even each the guilds provide a campaign on their own. And there is still tons of side stuff to do beyond those. If you do not understand the concept of these games, that's fine. But don't blame the game for not giving you what it offers.

no

i do understand

but what is their logic to make the main quest just another average quest? That's dumb, much more effort should have been put there. They totally screwd up. Even when I played guild wars, that had a better ending than Skyrim, and that's a mmorpg

So you only played Skyrim because of its main quest? Why even bother with Elder Scrolls then?

I played it for about ten hours. I barely found enough depth to keep me entertained for one character. I don't know how you managed to make ten 10 characters, two seems enough to encompass just about all the games content and skills.KHAndAnime
This, same for myself. That's some horrible hyperbole in your topic OP.
