consoles sucks, we all know that.

We just need some develepors who aim at the pc market, and thankfully we do have some :)

Walincas
That's an issue though many devs and many trusted devs have not been doing that. DICE says they are going to give "special attention" to the PC version of BF3 but thats what they said about BC2 and look at it now. Sure it's fun but you can still smell the stench of a console port. But hey I won't judge until I see it for myself. We do still have some devs loyal to their community i.e. Blizzard, stardock, Bioware, and Valve.

What we want? hmm. A visionary who burns all the consoles, forcing the developers to give all their love to the pc? :)

And you want them to just forfeit 66% of the sales, just like that?

Screw profit, we make games to please you guys, we want to appeal to your need for self accomplishment as hardcore gamers....

What world do you people live in?

I don't even **** know what you're complaining about. COD was always casual, starting with COD2, Bad Company was always a console version of Battlefield, BC 1 wasn't even on PC,

now they're saying "Don't Worry, BF3 PC will be special", and you're **** complaining about that now! Seriosly!!!

Your paranoid

Cranler

You're*

there shouldnt be a need for the apstrophe or the e when its pronounced the same as your. almost takes as long to type as you are which defeats the purpose. as a whole, people were quite silly in the days when these grammar rules were created.

I highly recommend you go back to school, user. The reason for the apostrophe is that when the word "you're" (which is short for "you are") is written, it reminds us that it is indeed short for "you are" and not the word "your" which has a completely different meaning. If you've thought about language, let alone studied it, you would realise that once you start changing spelling, grammar and puncuation, you begin to alter the meaning of words and phrases. For the sake of some clarity in an already hugely chaotic language, adhere to the rules.

I already made it clear in my post that I know what its short for. Not really short when it becomes 1 charcter less with the e and '. If people can't understand "your being silly" written how could people understand it spoken?

Fine, just don't blame the people who made the rules when really it is those who bend them that make them obsolete.

Its a good thing you put the apostrophe in dont, I wouldnt have understood otherwise. I'm a grammar nazi with common mistakes like "then" instead "than" but I have to draw a line at a certain point

Uhm, using an adjective in place of a contraction is a common mistake and, yes, it can be confusing. I usually just assume that the people who habitually make these errors are non-native English users or very young children (at least I hope that's the case). You could literally spend all day one these boards correcting misused homophones.

I don't see where pc games will die, expecially if the console games keep cheating players out of levels. What do I mean? Take for instance Call of Duy Black Ops, the Xbox version has half the levels. Besides, I prefer the PC games, easier to mod, cheat, and graphics are better. I do plan on getting a PS3, that is only because of Gran Turismo 5.

I wouldn't say online gaming is dead because I always find people online to play with. I think what needs to be done is pc gaming needs to advertise more and show just how awesome it is. Such things could be to show the benefits of playing with a mouse and keyboard, the better graphics, mods, etc. I just got into pc gaming last june and before that I never gave pc games, with the exeption of some mmos, a chancebecause 1. my lap top at the time couldnt really handle games and 2. I thought playing with a mouse and keyboard would be boring and not as good as a controller. Then when people on the bioware boards talked about how much better Mass Effect was on pc and all the reviews a I read about how great Dragon Age was on pc made me want to switch. I think if more people are educated then pc gaming could do better.

I disagree with the m/KB thing. Thats not a huge selling point as thats not what most people prefer. Even though it is more precise, you sacrifice a lot of comfort and relaxation. People generally dont want to play games hunched over a desk. They need to make people aware that a PC can be hooked up to your flatscreen and you can use controllers from the comfort of your sofa using your entertainment center. ATI and Nvidia need to start advertising more demonstrating what their cards are capable of and how versitale they are--esentially turning your PC into a customizable entertainment hub with blueray, netflix, and high end gaming.

PC gaming isn't dead. It never will be because there will always be a market for games on the PC. Right now its just getting the short end of the stick because of the 360/Ps3 craze. Before the next gen of consoles I bet you will see an upsurge in PC gaming as the hardware on consoles gets more and more dated (as if it wasnt already). Once people see the PC doing amazing things that can't be done on consoles people will turn to the PC as their new toy. And then the new set of consoles will come out.

YEs its so dead, thats why there are as many people playing the different dota games as there is Halo gamers, why MMOs have a couple of 10 million players, why most shooters are still alive and well, RTS like company of heroes and ofcourse starcraft have huge player bases.... Online shooters are getting old, it couldnt last forever, consoles are just playing catchup as usual.

Try playing with your KB and M with your feet up reclining on your sofa. A gamepad would work a lot better. Thats more comfortable than sitting at a desk. Thats why KB and M are not a big selling point with PC gaming. People spend enough time doing work at a desk. Gaming is our time to relax.

Of course Im not saying KB/M isnt as precise but the most people arent going to buy gaming PC's just so they can play with a KB and M. It does have disadvantages.

The point is that with the PC you can have your choice. Thats what PC gaming is all about: options and versatility.

It's 2010 and boy have us PC community gotten **** over this generation of video games, don't you think? Console port after console port and it's starting to bug me. Since the gaming industry has gotten mainstream devs and publishers have pretty much aimed to get as much money as possible and giving games terrible game mechanics and what not. I'm just sad to see so many devs stab us in the back. :( Games likes BC2 arnt enough and even that game has it's flaws a lot actually.*cough* appache underpowered suppose to hunt tanks not run away from them, tanks OP nothing stops them, MG's have no recoil lol rape helis,no prone :P, still feels like a console game *cough*. FOR GOODNESS SAKES THEY'VE EVEN RUINED WoW DAMNIT(Now I got to raid with our healers girlfriend who dosn't know to play her class Damnit I hate it! Casual casual casual)

I miss 2004, 2005, and 2006 :(. What happen to complex shooters like BF2? Not everyone wants a brainless experience like call of duty crap ops :P

Whats your input abot this? Is PC gaming really dying before my very own eyes? Singleplayer games are still good though! I just want someone to play with competitively.......:( Counter-strike is starting to get boring now!

*crosses fingers that BF3 is an actual PC port and not pure lies*

I'm pretty sure BF3 will be dissapointing. Don't hold your breath. Its a multiplat. they can give it all the special attention they want to the PC version but its still not up to what PC are capable of.

Indeed, it is a damn good port. The game is incredible fun too. To me it feels more of a PC game, rather than a console port. And there are PC games, that are just as fun and far less optimised.

If you are playing an FPS or a game that requires a lot of attention, you are most likely not going to be reclined with your feet up. I know I never played CoD on my Xbox 360 while laying down or reclined, because you can't focus on the game enough. I sit back in my nice computer chair any play PC games, just like I sat back in my nice chair and played 360 games.

That is a good point. Showing people how many more options they have with pc is difinetly the way to go. I remember when I couldn't decide to buy a ps3 or 360 I made thechoice to buy a ps3 based on all the functionit had. While I like my ps3 and its functions, my lap top can do the same things only better such as having a better internet browser then the ps3. Also show people that in the long run it will save them money since with a good enough pc, when the next gen consoles come out they could still play the new games with their computer.

Another problem would be there needs to be more help for pc games when installing. The easy argument against pc games could be that you can't just put them in and play like console games, they have to be installed first and sometimes won't play. The steam community is good and there are sites like this one but sometimes people don't reply to your threads or there is no one to call so your stuck with a game that you can't play. If more people would be assured that any pc game problem could easily be fixed that could also be a plus. Even geek squad wasn't any help when I took my lap top to besy buy with a game problem and tech2u wanted $150 just to come look at my lap top.

Please, those same critics give 10/10 to games like halo and CoD. I also did not say BC2 was crappy. It's a good game but I won't remember it 10 years from now and I doubt ill be playing it. I want a game that will have a lasting impact like Quake,CS,BF2,UT2004. Not a game thats going to be replaced ever year.

Well, i think that there aren't fewer pc gamers, theres just more console gamers. It's a pity, but it seems that people just forgot the old classics, there are fewer players on battle.net in wc3, everyone plays with the new FPS games...

No it's just that everyone is set in their ways. Either they're playing Counter Strike Source or WOW or something. Hell, I get my multiplayer online fix with a 10 year old game called Tribes 2. Don't worry though, BF3 is coming and theres a MMO Tribes game in the works and Brink looks to be different.
