What web-browser do you use? Why do you use it, and prefer one over the other?
I thaught it would be interesting to see what people prefer to use, so i thaught i'd make a poll on it.

Opera, because it does what I need it to without needing addons. IE as backup.superchronik
Firefox does what is necessary without the use of addons too. Addons just makes it so much more customizable and include a ton of cool features.
I have used Opera for a year up until now. The reason I switched was because Opera could not handle multiple multi-online streaming without crashing frequently. Also was the fact that I disliked having to switch to IE everytime I wanted to torrent, since Opera did not allow me to have uTorrent as my default torrent program. Needless to say, Opera torrent solution was inefficient.
Firefox fixed all of that and more.
Google chrome makes me weary and cautious as in the contract you accept with it, when using it googles Chrome browser it states that anything u make/do with chrome is owned by google. I'm not sure exactly what that could mean, but its not good, so i don't use it. It is a great web browsing browser for a netbook tho.LibertySaint
It's open source, like firefox. Just google ice weasel. You can do what ever you want with it.
Firefox.
I've been having some issues with downloads though. Firefox freezes for about 2 minutes whenever I start a download and the Downloads window comes up. After I close the window it stops freezing up.
When I came here i knew FireFox would have the most votes as its so over hyped. I have used all the common web browsers and i find Opera to be far better than any other, its just that not many people know about it.
P.S. THANX for not putting saffari on the list, it would have to be the worst ive used, It hella slow and just horrible.

I use Chrome, Firefox3 and IE8.
I was mosting us chrome as it is the fastest but I had inability to cut and paste stuff. Firefox was much the same with it's inability to cut and paste. So I went back to IE8 which is a lot faster and a lot more stable than IE7 was.

Um, yah...I have no problem copy/pasting anything in FF3. If a certain "website" won't let you, just use CTRL-C to copy and CTRL-V to paste, simple enough.[QUOTE="Daytona_178"][QUOTE="teddyrob"]What do you mean by cut and paste problems? Doesent CTRL+C work for you?I use Chrome, Firefox3 and IE8.

wow, that sucks!
Chrome because it is what men use, also for viewing the page source it sorts it nicely.JigglyWiggly_Incognito FTW ;)
I like chrome it's really fast. Doesn't work on all sites though.teddyrobGive it time,,,,they are rolling out a major update once a week it seems.
Opera all the way, it´s one of the web browsers that follows the W3C standards perfectly. (You can prove it by running the Acid3 test on opera 10, and get a score of 100%!, compared to the terrible 10%-20% i.e. gets).
Firefox is a good web browser, but too much resource consuming compared to Opera. And by the way, all of those listed are far better then I.E.

Sure, it may be more secure, but it looked like a polished turd.Gammit10It's not really more secure anymore. If you run the NoScript addon that helps a ton, but otherwise viruses and such are going in via vulnerabilities that hit IE and FF3 equally.
