Hi all; i am finally buying my rig this friday so i have it for the weekend! id like for peoples suggestion wiether or not i should change anything; 1) i could buy a x2 5400+ AMD or an x2 6000+ AMD but i don't know if there better than this current cpu and i would like to know if one if better than an E6600.

Also would it be good if i get a $130 mini case instead? i mean will have enough space for my future upgrades?

Here is my rig costing ($656)
Should be good enough for future updates aswell;
cpu = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115014
gpu = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102067
case = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811119115
power supply = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002 (know gamexstream 700w!)

Motherboard = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813128050
RAM = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034(know $80)
Ill also be putting in my current 120gb hard drive and dvd/cd stuff.

Future upgrades (next summer or before 2008)
newer cpu (maybe depends)
new gpu (direct x10 8800 gts 312 mb)
new hd 320-500gb (this will be last)
power supply (may get a new one if i need to)
Ram (if i need to again)

For your first question, the E6600 is best from those choices.

Mini case? You mean a micro ATX?

Everything on your list looks good, although I would replace your power supply with this. It's a little more expensive, but much better quality. Motherboard is a nice choice, very future proof. The only other thing I would switch is your RAM. Get this.

If your not overclocking, the AMD's are better (preferably the 6000). However, if you do decide to overclock, the E4400 could easily beat the two X2's.

Don't go MicroATX, those things may be nice to carry to LANs, but there are so many things that won't fit in them, like a 8800GTS. Yes, you can eaisly OC a 4400

1) Not that I know of.

2) By changing the FSB speed in the BIOS. FSB x Multiplier = Clock Speed.
