Not sure if this is the right spot for this question, but here goes:

A few years ago, I remember that people used to use programs online to run D&D campaigns, and you could sign up to join them. I cannot find any sites that still do this. Anyone know of any?

Thanks so much!

A friend of mine made an IRC bot a number of years back that could calculate everything needed for a D&D game, and we used to play in our own channel. I'm not sure if that's what you mean, but it worked really well and was damn fun.. there's gotta be people doing that still.

I seem to remember chat rooms with a basic GUI being used as early as a year ago for that sort of thing. I haven't really looked for anything like that recently. Really, though, the main idea of D&D is to meet up with your buddies and play. If there's a hobby store nearby, you might want to go there and see if there are any open games, or go check your nearest college campus for open games. There are D&D gamers everywhere. http://www.thephilosophyofgaming.blogspot.com
