Paradox had announced the release of a new game for March 2011: http://www.paradoxplaza.com/games/darkest-hour It i supposed to be a grand strategy game with scenarios that include both WWI and WWII. The (few) screenshots look really good, I like the map. Does anyone have more info about this? I couldn't find much.

Yes, I'm a fan of the genre and I'm glad to see a new game that looks so interesting. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find many informations about it so far and there's only a handful of screenshots on their site.

I found a couple of interviews:

http://www.wargamer.com/article/2971/darkest-hour

http://www.cpugamer.com/interviews/hearts-of-iron-ii-darkest-hour-interview

There are a lot of new screenshots in those interviews. The maps looks really good and apparently they've worked a lot on it, with realistic distance between provinces. They also talked about a tech tree that covers both WWI and WWII with tanks starting as experimental machines in WWI then becoming brigades and then divisions in WWII, which sounds awesome. And there's also a spying system, it looks very interesting.

No mention of a specific website for the game anywhere though. :(

I absolutely love Paradox as a dev, but their games are usually a trainwreck at release. Anybody remember HOI3?

Good thing is that their devs iron out problems pretty quickly and are very community oriented.
