Is there a way to password files on a memory key? Or to encypt the entire thing?

You mean on a USB drive? Some come with it built in (U3), there are also programs you can use. They require a passwork to even have access.

As for passwording individual docs, I'm not sure.

The easiest thing to do is buy a U3 stick. The DanDisk Crusier line is good.
