PC Game storage used to be easy: virtually every game came in a jewel case with the label clearly listed on the side. I had a Laserline rack that I would simply slip the jewel case into. With the game name clearly listed on the jewel case side, it was very easy to find a game (even in my semi-large collection). When games started coming with more than 1 cd, they mostly still tried to use single size jewel cases that supported multiple cds.

Lately, I see more and more games coming in different means. Some come in double-sized jewel cases. Some come in DVD cases. Some come in these new "PC DVD" cases. Some come in just standard paper sleeves.

Anyone know of a good solution to PC game storage? I dislike having to make my own jewel case inserts just so I can easily find a game. And I don't trust putting all my games in a soft CD case. Are there any good hard cases that make it easy to find stuff?

A few years down the line the future will be downloading and keeping them on your HDD. Broadband is only going to get faster and HDD storage is improving constantly.

I use a hard case CD storage thing with sleeves in it for the games I'm currently playing. Otherwise I put them in the jewel cases. If you really want to protect your CDs you could make images of all your game discs and put all the CDs in storage. Most user agreements allow the creation of one backup disc as well.

I think the fat DVD cases they use now work o.k. but my only gripe is that they take up a lot of physical desk space etc. Funny thing is..with most games being printed to DVD, those extra fat cases are a waist...Most games could just as well now fit in standard DVD boxes. I guess it's just one of those things that happens because of tradition :P OH and does anyone else just like how PC Games come in the plastic box, and then a paper sleeve with a fold out portion? I dunno, I just like that :P

My game boxes just sit in a pile off to the side in a cubby. Ones I don't play anymore are in a big box. The current game I am playing is in the DVD drive...
