Hi guys i heard many of Console holders that Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 is next generation consoles because all hit and hot titles are only for these consoles is PC not a next generation gaming machine i think they r right because no hot title for PC recently GTA IV Halo3 Grand Turismo 5 Dark sector Army of 2 and much more games released for these two consoles i m a Xbox 360 holder but i like only PC gaming What u Say?
I also say that next-generation is a preposterous term for any platform that currently exists, because that would make them all current generation platforms, next-generation is a buzz word.
You have to be kidding right? The PC has always been the next-gen system of choice. There is a reason why people spend a lot of money to play games like Crysis. It is because they can't do so on the consoles without taking a serious graphical hit.
LOL GTA4 Has FPS drops like crazy and graphical glitches On the 360 and random freezes/lockups. On the PS3 some people cant even get the game setup to play and others have issues where they have to install it again and lose their saves. O ya consoles are better :lol: Pc's have better graphics.perfrormance better precise aiming with m/k. and dont forget the biggest multiplayer platform and mods:)

bill gate has admited that pc is the ulmiate gaming machine. The only people who have not admited the pc is the best gaming machne is the sony boys...however all asain game devs say that pc is the best gaming machine
Secondly, 360 and PS3 aren't next generation either. Wii, 360 and PS3 are current generation systems.
PC doesn't work like consoles do, PC doesn't have generations the same way as console do. Consoles do big jumps every four years or so, whereas PCs get more powerful slowly over time.
comparing consoles to a pc is like comparing that new 2008 car model to a plane. Sure everyone gets hyped just because its the new car, but when you want to go somewhere (in this case next generation), your paying that $1000 dollar ticket for the best ;)

I would say the concept of spell check and basic grammar are not your forte.
And I'd say going online and writing about other ppls typoes are a waste of time. Not everyone has the priviledge of growing up in England or the States, just leave it be u no-lifers!
And PC is, and will most likely be the best for gaming for a while forward. (as stated earlier) consoles makes leaps, whilst the computer keeps advancing all the time. If u were to buy a decent PC now, it would be better than the PS3 and thats why I personally think the PC is a better choice. Besides, the PC can be used for more things than just gaming and adapted to each users specifikk needs. Consoles are for ppl who can't use anything but MSN...
"Next-gen" is a buzzword used to mask the fact that most games coming out that are supposedly "new and exciting" are just re-releases of what we already saw last generation with fancy new graphics.
In terms of technological advancement, the PC is probably two or three "gens" ahead of both the 360 and PS3 already.
Seeing how a PC is currently more powerful then I judge that as Next Gen when compared to the 360, PS3 and Wii. Of course the PC has had some big hits of the last few years, as it stands it is the only decent option when it comes to playing an RTS or MMO.

...those games you mentioned aren't even that good...it's just a matter of time before GTA IV is on the pc. Anyone who enjoys quality shooters don't play halo, or any shooter on a console for that matter, and racing games are lame. People just like consoles because you need to have a little intelligence and mechanical aptitude to have a PC.

OMG, that game is awesome. I can't get past the part where you have to cross the rainbow river though. There's like a bunch of those little gophers running around, and you can't stomp on them like you can most of the other pesky animals. I tried the flamethrower, but for some reason it doesn't let you aim down. Not sure why. I guess they didn't want to have to deal with the fact you could hit your own horse. I might just give up on this game. It's too complicated.
the ironic thing is that most developers, specifically developers of console games, have said that "next gen" is a pointless term used to sell stuff. It doesnt actually mean anything.
For argument's sake I'd say that the only next gen console is the Wii, simply because its the only thing to do something new, and its games are so unique.
Outside of looking purdy (but still uglier than PC lol) how are the 360 and PS3 different from Xbox and PS2? Theyre not
