I'm about to upgrade my pc in a few days. My config Amd phenom x4 955 bE. Elite group basic mobo 500 gb hd. + 4 gb ddr2 ram The problem lies in my old components,precisely-the power output & my 160 gb hd. The underbody of power output box is getting so hot that i cannot touch it fr more than 10 seconds. So is the case with my hd, who's underlying PCB getting very hot. The hard disk is basic seagate model. & m nt sure bout the smps bt its vry old (old as to say with only one small fan at the back) & is 450 watts. Is there anyway i can cool these components using fans or anything. Also, will 450 watts b enough for a phenon x4 cpu??

What GPU are you using, that PSU may not be enough for the computer.

Instead of a 4850 grab a ati 5770 its better than a 4850 and runs COOLER.
