I wanted to connect my PC's sound to a reciver but im not sure if it would work:
It says on microsoft ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mce/expert/connect_av.mspx ) that it is possible to connect to a reciver using 1/8in stereo-to-L/R RCA, only problem is that how do you know which of the two RCA plugs spliting from the 1/8in contains the Sub and Center channel. Im afride if i try to find out through trial and error somthing is going to be damaged.
I have spoken to one of the audio technicians at the Bose store and he said it would not be possible since the output signal of the sound card is "to complex for the reciver to handle" since it is two distinct channels in one plug.
Then i turn around i find that Creative sells a DTS Line to Op/Co converter (http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=16&product=14191)
So now i dont know what to purchase and if this is even possible or not, any ideas?
