the real test for DX10 isnt gonna be crysis....its gonna be Alan Wake...which is the first true game built from the ground up for DX10....

its a shame DX10 doesnt work in XP....since I do beleive that it probably offers better performce over DX9.

Have you also noticed that the game on hacked DX9 looks and plays like the DX10 version... meaning that well actualy it is BS.

They just want people to buy their new OS.

And ONPAR with DX9 isnt a good thing if the arguement is about better performance.

Yes Crysis is the first DX10 game out but its developers are world famous and the budget is huge... if they cant do it what chance do we have of seeing other games getting performance increases with vista/DX10.

All it does is increase the DX9 version to very high and nothing else. I don't know what the DX10 effects are nor do I care but you can't enable them XP. Are you saying that Crytek wants you to by their OS? I think Nvidia wants to sell their video cards more.I think the OS has a lot more excellent features than just DX10.

- DX9 hacked with out the so called DX10 features looks the same as the DX10 version with its features- meaning those features aren't huge at all.

- Microsoft wants you to buy their OS, thats why the make DX10 vista only and then tease you by flaunting Crysis in DX10 every chance they get.

Well if that is what you feel. XP isn't exactly a new OS...I first used it back in 2000 when i had a P3 500mhz. I now have a Quad core and all kind of fancy components that didn't exist back then. DX10 was not considered when I upgraded.
