ok so i bought the 4870 and a new power supply. i just want you guys to look over what i have and check for potential bottlenecks.

also tell me how much lower i will get at 1680x1050 in crysis because of my lower specs (rough estimate i guess).

Vista Home premium 32 bit
4gbs of ddr2-667
Intel core 2 duo e6600 (stock)
Asus P5n-e sli Nforce 570i sli edition
20" samsung 1680x1050

if you overclocked your CPU then you would have a half decent rig. 1680x1050 with crysis on high with 2.4ghz c2d probably 40-45 average.

If you push the E6600 up to something like 3.2, you'd have a pretty good system, for sure. Better than most people have, that's for sure. The 4870 is a fantastic card.

you should install xp...vista is a dog. If your looking to improve your FPS.
