As far as I've understood some previews, the game will offer really expansive free roaming environments later in the game, but it's not trying to be S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

For an FPS that only wants to be an FPS I think it really is doing a lot in terms of innovation. Compare it to the sequels to Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and other shooter franchises. They also seem to have lots of cool different gameplay in store later in the game but we'll see about that

No one :3

Eventhough, I'm just exposing my opinion. You shouldn't get so defensive about the game.

Mithrandir0x

If none of them offer that level of freedom, how can you say that the freedom in Crysis is void.

I am not defending the game. I am merely doing what you are doing......expressing my opinion. No need to get all defensive about it:P

It'll happen eventually, I just won't give a rats ass if it's 2010 by the time they port it (like the 3 year gap of porting Halo 2)

Already played it (rented it) for the 360, so don't really care if it comes or not.

BTW, it's a really fun game. Not as "generic" as alot of the elitist claim. It has superb music and sound, great story and pacing, fun vehicle sequences, and some really great moments that are truly memorable. I don't think it's the best thing since sliced bread, but to pretend it's just an average gerenic console FPS is simply lying to yourself.

I thought you were joking when you talked about the nanosuit... About the freedom that this game gives, it's a false freedom. You still have to move from point A to point B unleashing destruction to everywhere you go. I don't see any freedom still from moving on another path of the mountain in a stealth way using the optical cammouflage, or going slow enough that the koreans or aliens don't listen you and ambus them, or maybe going straight ahead the bad guys, killing them. The scenario is enormous, but the sense of freedom is the same of the other games.

For me, it's a revamp of the formula of Far Cry (which I don't see bad, it's a entertaining style of game), but it's not possible to say that the changes from one to another are significant enough.
