[QUOTE="Kh1ndjal"]unlike the raw visuals (texture size, resolution) physics wont always have the same effect on every game. i mean, what would physics do if you were playing monkey island? or civilization?pilouuuu2004Half-Life 2 included physics based puzzles. I can't see why it can't be used in an adventure game. OK, Civilization is a harder case, but at least physics would make graphics more beautiful and realistic when they are not enhancing the gameplay. in a point and click game? really? physics for puzzles makes sense. for games like civ, it does NOT. the computer power used to enhance physics (objects wont always be flying) can be put to better use by making the game prettier by other means such as higher polygon models, cool interface effects, things like that. where would physics shine? water. not like that water in cryostasis (maybe my gpus not powerful enough to make it look pretty) but somewhere like Rapture from bioshock. the water looks nice but its not that dynamic. i was thinking like shoot a water tank and the water spills out, taking objects with it. or a high power firefighting-type water hose.
