If you're looking at a laptop for going to LAN parties, don't bother. A lanbox would serve you a lot better and cost only half as much. If you're looking at this for using anywhere where there isn't an outlet, don't get a quad-core SLi laptop, as you won't be going very long on battery alone. kodex1717
Yea, i jus got a laptop for the mobility factor, so i can easily pick it up and take it somewhere else, but the battery life sucks, it only last abt an hour an a half on my alienware.
NO, DO NOT buy an alienware, or dell. Get this awesome Gateway http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8780198&st=gateway&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1204332501169
Then after that, upgrade the processor to this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111001
You don't even know if that laptop supports 45nm.NO, DO NOT buy an alienware, or dell. Get this awesome Gateway http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8780198&st=gateway&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1204332501169

The battery life doesn't have to be exceptionally good because I will have it charging almost any time I will be gaming. I am also buying this for school use and our laptop requirments require 2 batteries so I will have a spare when needed.
I already have a gaming desktop which I will be selling becuase I am going off to college and feel that even though a laptop is less power for the price than a desktop, a laptop will be easier for college life.
Thanks for the help so far though.
