Plasma or LED?

I love plasma's but two things worry me:

1. Picture Rention. It's going ot have a lot of games on it and am afriad of image burn in even if it is temporary.

2. Heat. I live in a small room with a very fussy GF who hates heat. I hear plasma's get very hot and creat heat?

LED's pictures are impressive but still not up to plasma standards. They are much more expensive for a similiar model but also have the advantage of No retion and less heat.

What say is the best?

1.) Newer Plasmas rarely get Picture Retention unless you leave a static image on for a long time. Newer Plasmas have things to prevent image retention such as pixel orbiters and auto-shutoff. 2.) It doesn't create that much Heat. What you probably have to worry about is your electric bill as Plasma wastes more electricity than LEDs.LoserMike

I have a 50in panasonic plasma, and it definitely generates a lot of heat. So much so that, while I prefer plasma to lcd, I would list it as a negative factor.

if this helps you i use my 42 inch panny S1 series for a computer monitor and i do get image rentention my desktop but it goes away within like 5 mins when pixels are moving, plus you have to be a inch from the screen to notice it before it goes away. plus plasma have better blacks and colours and handly motion better. LED 's have closed the gap but a great panny will be the best
