Just to see what the majority says. I for one vote Nvidia ! :D

Driver issues arent the thing from the pass many people still have issues from both companies. Physx isnt really a gimmick it just adds icing on the top.04dcarraherI mean that Nvidia were always credited with providing superior drivers in the past, and now ATI can boast the same level of support. Whether PhysX is a gimmick remains to be seen. Personally, I'd love to see massive PhysX uptake on new titles, but as long as developers are creating one product to suit both card manufacturers, I can't see PhysX adding anything substantial to the gaming experience.
I always consider buying either when I'm putting together a system.
As it happens, the majority of my cards have been Nvidia, so they get my vote by default.
I have used a Radeon 9600XT in the past though, which was a great card at the time. And if I was looking to buy something now, it would probably be the 4890.
I like max performance regardless of cost, so Nvidia all the way for me. Also Nvidia own at folding@home and PhysX is a nice extra too. I'll be getting a GTX 380 on release day :D
I chose ATI - cheap and is doing its job nicely, have had no problems with my card since my purchase half a year ago.
ATI generally has much better power-per-buck cards.
Nvidia on the other hand is supposedly more reliable, customer friendly, e.g. all that little stuff that gets overlooked. But it comes at a cost. PhsyX isnt even worth mentioning - why should it be? It's only supported by like 1% of games.
Heh, Consoles uses Ati or Nvidia anyways. I choose Ati over Nvidia, Ati = poor peoples card like the rest of us, Nvidia= self-endulgent weaners who gets paid 100k+ while doing nothin. jk jk
I'm a fan of ATI, but i've used 3 Nvidia cards. Geforce 3, Geforce 7600gt, and Geforce 9500gt. From what I've seen ATI is good for bang for your buck, and for some reason I just can't get any good dynamic shadows with an Nvidia card. Mass Effect comes to mind as well as Crysis and Oblivion. The self shadows seem to look much smoother on the ATI cards, at least from what I have personally experianced.
until ati get some exclusive of physic X it sure nvidia as a Brighter Future for what effect of physic is supported but for best bang for buck with likely same performances it is belive HD5870 / GTX380 will be Good Rival without one crushing by a +10-20% the other
but i heard physic x is just getting more and more popular in game it is to belive that perhap 30/50% of DX11 Game may offer some physic X exclusive to nvidia unless ATI can put a nvidia card as PPU as First Ageia did longtime ago maybe it will be possible with Lucid hydra chip who know
Exactly it there monopoly on physic X effect that rise nvidia that high tough because in vast majority of benchmark a HD4890 OC will be better then 285GTX or Equal and in domain of enthusiast it the same 4870x2 / 295GTX never far behind of each other tough it may change a bit with Generation DX11 i still hope to see ATI GOOD
I may go ATI since my mobo ATI Likely if it was Core i7 then id be saying w/e picking nvidia if it the best
