kevin was right. too many PC gamers worry more about the game's performance than how much fun it is. I'd say I have good reasons to worry when I can't even get 30 frames in zones with a lot of action on a GTX670 at just 1680x1050.[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"][QUOTE="DanielDust"] It runs worse than BF 3, that is in no way, shape or form acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. It's the only thing that kept me from joining day one, waiting for areas to clear a bit, hopefully next week. It's a decent looking game, not more not less.DanielDust
Yes, when games run bad, so bad it takes the fun away, people worry about it and hope it'll get better, they don't go "it's okay man, because it's fun".
Not sure why you're suddently trying to hide all this, now that it launched, everyone knows the worst problem of GW 2 is optimization, the rest of the problems being irrelevant, since overall it's a great game, or what, you're going against "game runs bad" because it somehow sounds like the game is bad or what?
I run 50-60 frames per second at all times at max settings at 1900x1200 for GW2. I have had no problems at all. It runs just fine. It's GW2 without a doubt.
I played Diablo 2 for a bit over 100 hours, (3 characters to 60) and I just bought GW2 but can safely say Diablo isn't the right game.
Maybe once they have more content released it will be better but at this point it's essentially a 10 hour (or less) game.
Go Diablo 3. It'll give you a much deeper experience with a game that relies on atmosphere and story rather than an online environment. Although there is the online auction house but you can ignore that and it won't affect your experience.

For a single-player experience, Diablo III. If you've got online, which I'm assuming you do, then Guild Wars 2.

because Diablo 3 can be played offline... /facepalm
with an always online connection to their server? It can be played solo*, it's always online much to the games detriment.GW2 for sure. You will get way more hours for the money and it is just massive. Don't get me wrong, I love Diablo 3 but after ther short campaign, it gets boring just trying to beat it on a harder difficulty. Go GW2, it's super fun
I'm holding out for Marvel Heroes to scratch my 2d/3d itch (ie get a break from FPS/RPG dungeon crawlers.) Diablo 3 is expensive compared to what else is out there and it gets some rough feedback from customers. I've never played a Magica, DoTA, Diablo, or, for that matter, Gauntlet type of game and I don't want to get a bad taste for an entire genre based on one superhyped, perhaps overpriced game.
I'm also looking forward to Injustice: Gods Among Us. As usual though, DC Comics, who I didn't read as much as Marvel whoops Marvel's butt when it comes to at least naming stuff. Really, Marvel? "Marvel Heroes?" Is the best name you could come up with? Hope that's a working title or at least it gets a cool subtitle to dress it up.
Marvel Heroes and Injustice will imo be great to not only scratch that superhero itch, but Marvel Heroes will be introducing me to Diablo-style games and Injustice will be bringing back memories of playing Tekken, Soul Caliber and Virtua Fighter. Never got into Mortal Kombat that much. Either because I thought I was outgrowing video games by then or the graphics just looked too busy. Give me a seizure up in 'dis b*tch.
Guess I can't answer your poll accurately as I will be spending my "birthday money" on what SOME are considering the REAL spiritual successor to Diablo II which could very well be Marvel Heroes game.

Is this a joke? You are purchasing these games for the same exact reason most people are: Because its a tie to in a franchise they like. these games, more than likely, will be terrible simply because it will sell for the reasons i just stated.
Sorry, Marvel Heroes is not a "spiritual successor" to diablo 2. I dont care what they claim or who they've hired. Many of the same people who've made D2 have gone on to make terrible games (remember Hellgate London anyone?).

Yeah, that's the reason Diablo 3 sold so well and it turned out to be garbage. To be honest, I think that Marvel Heroes game will be the same thing.
