After extensive research, these two seem to be the most comprehensive and reliable cordless mice available today. Which of the two mice would you pick (they are both the same price) and why?

The Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse (left) or the New Logitech Cordless MX Revolution Laser Mouse (right)

i used to use the G5, now i use the G7. the MX sure does look cooler but felt less comfotable in my hand. ideally just try holding them both, they are so high end for a mouse that choosing one over the other is really just a comfort preference.

I'd go with a Razor myself because Logitech mice have a habit of making my hand hurt after a while.

Out of those two I would go with the G7. But, in personal prefrence and what feels good in my hand, I would have to go with a razor.

I use my G7 again because when i bought a revolution i had nothing but trouble with it and if you go to logitechs forums youll see many people having issues with it. If i was buying a new mouse right now probably a logitech G9. That being said though i love the g7 if you have to choose between those two only id go g7.

Razer mice are all wired, and I need a wireless. If I did go with a wired mouse, though, that'd be the one.

The G7. The MX isn't suited for my hand style of using a mouse. I don't like trapping my palms and resting it all over a mouse. Makes me feel like a dumb bag nerd.

honestly ive never liked wireless mice...i always notice the lag. Ive used mx rev. and the battery was full. Its just im coming from using razer mice. Once you go razer you cant go back. If you are going to game, then my huge advice is get wired. But i know i see you want wireless...so i guess i'm just stating my opinion.

Personally I like the comfort and the extra buttons on the mx revolution.

also the scroll wheel that is usable in free spin or click spin is mighty handy when you need to scroll through a large text or web page.

the side wheel is also handy if you wan't to brows through your running program's

the mx is the best allround mouse I think :) the g7 is nice if you mainly use it for gaming with the extra dpi though I don't miss it with the mx.

also I need to say is that it doesn't matter witch mouse you choose logitech is great at customer support ( I had problems with my mx after a month or 6 and they immediately replaced it :D

I'm a stickler for battery life, so I'd go with the MX Revolution.

I'd go with the G7, because they are extremely confortable for right-handed people and the high DPI makes shooting people in FPS games too easy. The adjustable sensitivty is also a great feature that helps out when jumping in tanks in BF2 and things like that. I use my G7 about 8 feet away from the reciever and I don't get any lag at all, so I'd deffinatly go with the G7 if you are far from the reciever like I am.

Hmm, it seems that both mice are well-received. I guess it comes down to the comfort factor then. I've got tiny, carnie hands, so I think I'll need to take both for a test drive.

Thats a good idea. I went with the G7 and love it, but I think comfort is good also, so try them out if you can.

I liked the G7 more and still use it today, but I don't really care about or need all of the extra buttons that the MX has... I simply didn't use them. The G7 is pretty barebones on the extra buttons, and I know that bugs a lot of people. Something else different is the battery style both mice use. The G7 has two quick-charging (~1-1.5 hours for full) battery packs that you alternate swapping out of the mouse about once a day... it takes a few seconds, so it's no big deal to most that actually try it. And to me, it's nice to always have the mouse charged and usable no matter how much it gets used, since one battery is always charging in the base station even while you use the mouse with the other battery. The MX uses a more traditional recharging method with a base station, and it lasts a hell of a lot longer, though you need the mouse out of commission for it to recharge. Edit: And they both use the exact same wireless technology, so there's no difference there. The wireless receiver on my G7 died, and when I spoke to Logitech CS (which was awesome, btw), they sent me a receiver that said MX Revolution on it. :D They're interchangeable.
