You know, it's really disappointing to see you guys constantly keep telling I'm trolling, if I really did it, Mods would certainly lock this thread or at least give me a moderation. but none of those things happened. so you could discuss this thread's subject matter instead of posting " You are a troll. " believe me, there is no " Troll hunter " medals here. Sign-Number-Two

Hi, I'm twelve and what is this?

portal 2 has some of the best writing ever to grace a videogame, and some of the best voice acting as well. prettying sure this is just an epic troll fail.

The dialgoue was generally hilarious, and the voice acting was solid gold. *Especially* Stephen Merchant (who voiced Wheatley) - I honestly thought that he was the best of the voice actors, and loved just about everything he said.

As for your other points...I thought that the environments looked great (the art design was generally stunning), the music and sound effects were top-notch, and the puzzles were more intelligent and far less reflex-based than the puzzles from the original game. In short, I thought that it improved on the original in every single way, so I've got to disagree with your points.

I agree. The entire thing, with the exception of Cave Johnson, was poorly written and not funny. They should completely rewrite the script to have less dialogue and cast another person for wheatly and make GLaDOS' voice just a bit more computerized and less human like. I'm a huge Valve fanboy as you can see by my sig and avatar, but i'm not a mindless fanboy - i can see faults where there are faults. The main problem was GLaDOS' personality. She was so completely different in this game that it kind of ruined what made her special in the previous one. Even though we destroyed her personality cores at the end of the first, I don't think she would have become MORE human like. She held a grudge against us for killing her, and I think this is a realistic thing for the GLaDOS that we knew, but I think it was done in a way that was totally off and not like her character from the first game.

It was a great game overall. 9.5 out of 10. But the writing and poor voice acting on Wheatly's part kept it from being as good as the Half Life series, which it almost was.
