At 60 fps or better:
Bioshock
Bulletstorm
Half Life 2
Doom 3
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (I think)
Those locked at 30 fps:
Command & Conquer 3
Napoleon Total war
One I can name that runs great on the PC is DMC4. 64-bit optimization FTW. What games run great on your rig?topsemag55
how do u get dmc4 to run great on ur system...i cant run it in dx10 without it feeling like its running at less than 15fps...my system should laugh at the game requirements wise...dx9 runs well enough just dx10 that lags....including the cutscenes its like im playing in slow mo
Most all of them run well. Best - Skyrim. Worst - Empire: Total War.BrianB0422

I don't run an FPS "counter" but I can tell when it's under 50 - 60. Doesn't happen. Unless there is some super-huge mega city I haven't come across yet.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="BrianB0422"]Most all of them run well. Best - Skyrim. Worst - Empire: Total War.BrianB0422

What system and res do you play at?

He could have 4 580s that wouldn't change a thing in the cities. The game is more CPU hungry. My old rig had a Core 2 Quad at 3 Ghz and i had 15-30 fps in the cities with Acceleration Layer. My new rig rarely drops in the 40s with tons of mods.

very true
Don't want to sound a dick but with my current PC (see sig for specs) everything runs sweet!
Raxzor
Of course it would. That system is a powerhouse and will be for quite some time. No games within the next few years will strain that much. Lucky guy :P

Games that ran sweet with 60+ fps:
Games that I didn't expect would run well, but actually did (40+ fps):

what are you talking about?
Well everything runs really sweet on my rig, even if its terribly optimized i can still max it out (GTA IV) lol!SPBoss
Nice, you overclocked your CPU to 5 Ghz. No wonder even terribly optimized games run sweet on your rig. :D
Btw. i have the same watercooler^^

It's trash. He should just throw it out (then give it to me).[QUOTE="topsemag55"]One I can name that runs great on the PC is DMC4. 64-bit optimization FTW. What games run great on your rig?lpjazzman220

A few small things here and there that add up in the long run. Using Win 7 64-bit with 8 GB memory for starters. I shut down a lot of unnecessary apps before I game, and I don't open up my browser. I also use Clear Mem, an app that trims down the memory apps use, and move data into the cache. With 38 processes running, I can knock down the memory overhead to 875 MB. Overhead right now with browser open is 1.05 GB used. I also don't max-out games, I set them to where they look good so they run faster. You could try setting it to one core to see if that helps.[QUOTE="lpjazzman220"][QUOTE="topsemag55"]One I can name that runs great on the PC is DMC4. 64-bit optimization FTW. Could be, but I always make sure with the Task Manager. Something else was bothering me, and it finally hit me.:P Some might wish to argue this, but it makes sense...DMC4 is one of the TWIMTBP games, which means there are Nvidia-specific graphics commands in the executable. The game's graphics performance just naturally leans more towards GeForce GPUs, because the executable uses GPU command set versus general graphics commands. Also......
Quake 2 runs 3D-accelerated at 60fps most of the time on my netbook with Intel graphics. It wouldn't install from cd to Win 7 Starter. But, I just copied the files straight over.
Most games, except Metro 2033 with Advanced DOF. Skyrim too - it drops under 60fps in towns even with a 2500k at 4Ghz
Well, if we're counting older games.....
Doom 3
Half Life 2 (assuming I reinstall it)
Pacific Fighters
Far Cry
Combat Flight Simulator 2
Combat Flight Simulator 3

I get around this at times, lol:But I average around 30-50 at least in that and some others(and a little higher), compared to previous rig where it can get below not only 30 but 20 at times...
