Lets see what FPS people are getting with what hardware.

Specs in my sig, resolution 1440x900

On Metro, I get about 55 fps with everything on 'High', 0 AA.

On Caspian Border, it looks like I'm hitting a CPU bottleneck. GPU usage ~50%, but CPU usage @100% and I'm only getting ~30fps. :(

Gotta say, I thought I'd be doing better than this. I hope the game is better optimized by final release, and future drivers improve performance.

Looking at your CPU thats very surprising. There shouldn't be a bottleneck with a top end Core 2 Quad.

I didn't think the game would be much more demanding on the CPU, than BC2, where I got absolute minimum of 30, and up to 120+ fps. I was going to further OC my CPU, but I've only got about another 200MHz in it, and I only seem to be able to get to 3.8 using auto settings (I'm not very good overclocker :((and it's not CPU voltage, even if I crank it right up, still fails, it's something else)), and I don't think and extra 200MHz will bring me into playable fps. I'll just have to hope final release is MUCH better, or wait until early next year, where I plan on a completely new system.

Im getting around 30-40 at 1920x1080 and settings at ultra.

Its weird though, ATI just released a new driver and the patch notes say "improves performance in the battlefield 3 beta" , so hopefully after updating my performance should be better.

GTX 460 1gb OCed to 815/1630/1900

AMD Phenom ii x6

8gb ram

1680x1050 resolution

I'm getting a solid 45-50 (60-70ish indoors) on both metro and caspian border and it never drops below that with everything but terrain and shadows on utra (those two are on high) and I have 2x msaa going. I think it goes without saying that I am quite happy :D

i5-2500k @ 4.5ghz
8 Gigs of ram
6950 (unlocked shaders and overclocked to 900/1400)

Getting 40-50 FPS playing with it on the Ultra setting, 1920x1080.

Apprently the Ultra setting in the Beta isn't maxing the game out though. I think i'll be playing on high on the retail release.

"So people been checking the CFG file and looks like PC beta is capped to graphical setting of 3 (max being 5) regardless of how many settings you change in game options.. "

Im downloading now so Ill be able to talk about the GTX 260 but anyone else using now medium level rigs to play? We all know the 6950s and 560s and 580s are raping the game but we need more posts about mid range PCs - that will tell the most about the games optimization and performance capabilities.

Increasing the CPU to 3.8GHz actually seems to have help, a bit. I just wish I knew which settings to change, so I could manually do it.

AMD Phenom II X4 B45 3.0Ghz

4GB

Window 7 64-bit

1600x900 res

Everything to highest

I'm getting a good 40-60FPS in both Operation Metro and Caspian Borders. The only time I ever seen my frames hit 30 is in Caspian borders but only for a second or two when things are blowing up everywhere. So far I'm impress with my performance.

I don't notice tessellation in Ultra, and it's probably not utilized well seeing how it's a beta, a glitchy one too.

Hey folks, laptop gamer here and so far I am pleased with what a 700 dollar laptop can do! Specs are as follows: i5-480M 2.9Ghz 4GB DDR3 GT 540M 1GB Running everything on medium at 1366x768, no AA or any other special effects, getting 25-35 FPS. I have a TV I have also been playing on where I lower the resolution to 1280x720 and turn on 2xMSAA and I receive similar frames!

Never mind. The settings I had were not nearly as maxed out as I thought it was I guess. I don't know but for some reason, BF3 is running worse for me on Metro. Now I'm getting anywhere from 38fps to 85fps which is not considered stable. Not very well optimized if you ask me. So I could go from running around smooth to a jerky screen when things get hectic. I also noticed a lot of white flickering (not the reflection of the scope) but the screen itself and a lot of screen tearing even though vsync is enabled in-game menu. I tried with it turned off via application and forced through Nvidia Panel and SAME THING. Just now, I crashed for the first time... and it makes my GPU run hot like hell @ 82 degrees. I just lost all interest in playing now.

Weird my CPU temps max out at 62C, and both my GPU's only get 76C. 82 is fine though, its not going to hurt anything, I remember my old 8800 GTX got to 90C at times. it still runs.

My CPU runs really cool though, but the framerates are all over the place. I only wonder how much better it would perform if was running a Sandy Bridge. Although I'm not going to up and change it just for one game. THe final product might run more stable so I'll be patient. :)

Yeah I'm sure that they will optimize it better, my friend has a laptop that dips down to 30fps and he has a 6990 and a 2nd gen i7 in it (6990 is like a 6950 desktop card) you might be able to overclock your cpu more if you think its that, It might be, I had my old 1090t run at 4.15ghz with 3ghz NB (think it was at 1.425v)

Unfortunately, the AMD 965BE is a cursed little cpu. A ton of people have reported hitting the wall at 3.8ghz. I've been able to take an e8500 to 4.2ghz on a cheaply made Asrock motherboard before they were considered a decent brand. Probably should have gotten the 955 and be happy.. Next build will be Intel again though.
