Powercolor Radeon HD 3850 AGP Lag in cutscenes and when loading.

So, I just got a Powercolor Radeon HD 3850 AGP because I don't have the $$ to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard yet, and it lags horrendously in cutscenes. It also takes whatever sound was playing before and repeats it over and over again when it goes to a loading screen (The loading times are really long, BTW), and after it's done loading, the game is EXTREMELY laggy for a few seconds.
The games I have tried are The Last Remnant, Devil May Cry 4, and Oblivion. I have uninstalled the drivers, rebooted, used Driver Cleaner, rebooted, installed the newest drivers from Powercolor.com, rebooted, installed the 9.3 hot fix, rebooted twice and that didn't fix it. Help me out! Please.

Are you running a sever motherboard?Or is that a hyperthearding cpu(which shows up as 2 cpu's but is really 1)To get the most out of that card you need a duel core and 2 gigs or ram.It sounds like cpu bottleneck to me.I havre the sapphire version of the card,and it shreds games.

How much Ram you have? This doesnt seem to be a vga problem. Loading times that long should be expected since you have an old system and your processor is holding back the 3850 ( with a newer dual core you should see a major improvement). Also the lag is probably due to not enough ram and or slow hard drive

You said you have 2 processors? Open the case of your pc and look. BTW you need to find out the socket on your motherboard. If its not LGA775 you wont be buying any dual cores lol

Unfortunately your pentium 4 motherboard most likely won't support a dual core. You will have to upgrade to a PCIE motherboard for that, in which case you need a new video card as well :(Mr_NoName111

ur cpu has to much to handle I suggest getting a duel core I used to have dmc4 and its a very easy game to max out I get over 150 frames playing at 720p
