I have an ATI x1900gt and whenever i try to run half-life at high ,medium, or low settings it lags and the fps is very low and have no idea what it could be.

Please leave your thoughts and comments.

I always used to havea bit of trouble getting some ATI cards to work well with some games. Generally completely uninstalling the drivers and installing new ones helped. Omega driver used to be pretty good, but I seem to recall them being a tad bulky, but I never had too much trouble getting Doom 3 and HL2 to work, sadly back whenthose games were released was the last time I messed with any ATI drivers. I thought I heard their driver support had gotten better, but who knows.

P.S. I was playing on a mobility card, but check to make sure your drivers are up to date.

Like snackdaddy said, make sure that the video card's drivers at up to date. What are the rest of your PC's specs? There might be something else that is hampering the video card's performance.
