So basically all i can make it do is turn on for a few seconds then it turn off after like 4sec and turns back on and its just keeps doing that till i unplug it.

Fans spin, No video, no beeps

I took off all the unnecessary components even the case just hooked up PSU, CPU, RAM, and MoBo but the problem persists.

Fairly sure its not the RAM i tried juts one stick in all the slots but no luck.

Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else has had this issue. Sadly i wont be able to check your theories at the moment, my friend has my PSU cuz he think thats the issue so hes going to test it at his place, but i would still like some theories.

Its most likely the CPU fan cable, or some cable which isn't on firmly.

The other problem could be its shorting, and looping endlessly, take the mobo out of the case and put it on the foam or the mobo box it came in, and use a screwdriver to turn it on.

Uhhh no, any modern mobo only needs 1 24v ATX lead connected to it, and not all GPU's need power, they can get it from the pci-e slot.

Sorry my sandy bridge i5 -2500 has two connectors going to th motherboard, one 24 pin and one 6 pin , i think sandy bridge is pretty modern. Actually it's the newest. I know all vga cards don't need power , but i told it just in case.

Had a problem on my first build where the "power on" button was stuck in the on position the whole time. I tracked everything down then finally looked at the power button circuit board. The symptoms were very similar to yours the pc would boot up run for 2-5 secs and then shutdown. Contacts can sometimes be stuck or dirty.

Do you mean 8-pin?, they don't even call it ATX, they call it EATX or something.

Ensure that your graphics card is properly inserted. All cables not loosely connected. Else just pay someone good enough to make it work!

It's either the PSU or motherboard.

it sounds to me that the power connectors are either not connected properly or not connected atall to your graphics card. Some graphics cards need 2 powerconnectors on them

GarGx1

The problem can't be related to the graphics card with the way he described it, his entire system gets stuck in a loop.
So it's either a connection problem between the Motherboard and PSU or the PSU itself.

Less likely but possibly, it's a faulty motherboard.

Faulty or inadequate PSU I'd say. It could also be the motherboard, those are easy to damage during shipping. Do you see anything shiny or a little bit off in the CPU socket?

I have had this happen once, turned out there was extra pre installed standoff in the case. It was touching the underside of the motherboard and causing a short circuit. Re did the standoffs and re installed and everything turned out fine.

Ya i built it outside of the case but same problem i dont think its the GPU i tried the build without the GPU and same restarting thing happens and i had the PSU checked and im told its fine so its between the MoBo and CPU i guess. and i dont think its the power button sticking out of the case i turned it on by shorting the 2 pins but same thing happens.

I had the same problem when I did my first build. I didn't have the motherboard fully powered. I had the 24 pin power connector plugged into the motherboard but i forgot to plug in the smaller pin too. Once I plugged the other connector to the motherboard everything booted up fine.

It's either the PSU or motherboard.

JonChaoZ

I would have to agree. The only other thing I could suggest is a dry joint on the motherboard specifically or the power button
