I'm familiar and in touch with the different components of notebooks, ie graphics card ram, hardrives, but I can't keep up on processors.

I have been looking at a dell and they have a IntelĀ® CoreTM2 Duo T9500 (2.6GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache), and I assume mainly cuz of the price tag that this is a good processor, but is there something out right now that blows it away?

I will be using all of the adobe products, photoshop, indesign etc.. and it has to be a laptop

any advice will help

thanks

if you dont mind the price it is a great laptop processor, you could deffinatly get away with less tho. a 5450 or something would run it no problem, and a 2xxx series would run it well.

the 9500 is a great cpu, its expencvie as its one of the fastest and has a high clock speed. my 2.2 core 2 duo runs photoshop illustrator etc great the main thing to watch out for with notebook cpus is the fps, there are still pleanty out there with 667mhz which isn't the best for demanding apps. if you want a portable notebook I think 2.6ghz is as fast as they get. for the exteme cpus you are looking at the big thick heavy 17" jobs
