GET OUT OF HERE!!! No..... is this for real? Hahahahaha, how does Project Cars manage to look better than real life? This is awesome.
I think I'm going to have to pick this one up when it's out. Haven't had a good racing game since gt4, so this should put my new rig to the test nicely.
Quite regretful that I missed out on backing this. Not only have the backers had access to this for a long while, but they're also financially invested in the project and stand to earn a bit of money(or at least make some back) if this does well, which it has a very promising chance of doing so.
I think Forza and Gran Turismo should be genuinely concerned. Both these franchises have stagnated a bit, while this seems to be a genuine contender and perhaps even better of a sim than either from everybody I've talked to who have been playing it. It wont have the car count, and maybe not the customization, but its got the tracks and the physics and day/night and weather for every track.
I cant wait for it. I think between this and Assetto Corsa(which is an amazing sim), I'll be quite set for racers.
@BattleSpectre: I was thinking the EXACT same thing! A video game that looks better than real life. How far have we come yet we have so far to go. Games can render lighting better than real life I guess. Pretty soon it will be pointless to even leave the house.
WOW both look amazing but I think Real Life is way better, I want to try it :D
EDIT: to all of you guys saying the game looks better than real life - well from my point of view the game actually needs better AA.
No, real life needs a better camera lol.

Actually the camera in RL looks dirty style of capture just like playing the original DiRT
Well obviously real-life is smoother, but do remember that the game will be running at 60fps normally rather than the 30fps max you see on Youtube, so its actually far smoother than what you see in Adrian's videos.
I love the fact that there is a better view distance in the game than real life, lulz
Shitty dash-cam and a copy of the original is never as good as the original. RL is way smoother and the car handles way better.
Hahaha, of course r'l is better. But still very impressive for a game.
Yeah Project CARS looks great. Laguna Seca is one of the lesser polished tracks though, it will look even better when the game is done.
To quote SMS development director Andy Garton: "It's a shame in a way that that comparison video is taking off - that track hasn't even had a proper polish and fix pass yet, it will be far better, and far more accurate, when it's complete."
