I want to buy a projector for gaming and movies but dont know what is a decent one to get.  So does anyone have a recommendation for one under 1000 dollars american?

To use a projector as a screen, I have a few recommendations: 1. You will also need a projector screen. If you have a good projector screen, it works much better than projecting the image on the wall. The screen reflects to light well, making the images sharper and brighter. 2. If you can, set it up in a basement. Projector only works well in a dark place. /if you are in a room with no light, that will work very well, too. 3. Good quality projector usually cost more than $1000. There are a few cheaper ones, but their quality isn't as great.

Yah, most projectors that can handle the dark levels in games are going to be over $1,000... sorry :(

Panasonic has a gaming projector at 1299...

Dude, you're obviously trying to sell Panasonic projectors. I wonder why mods ignore this.
