Prototype or Dead Space?

Yes, yes, indeed there are many threads such as this flowing through the PC forum quite often. But I've been looking for a new game, and have come down to Prototype and Dead Space.

I'm not too into the whole mindless killing and violence thing, but Prototype looks fun nonetheless. I'm a bit concerned about the controls though, I've come to understand that Platformers don't control very well on the mouse and keyboard setup, and I don't have a gamepad.

I've heard lots of good things about Dead Space. I feel like I'm missing out on the experience.

Any suggestions?

prototype...awsome game but does get repetive and boring

Both games are really good but if i had to choose just one it would be Prototype..

Dead Space. Prototype gets boring fast. I had no motivation to finish Prototype and I finish 95% of the games I buy.

prototype is a game you will love because of the liberty of movement, you move hella fast around the city and can do almost anything. VERY cool powers and plenty of stuff to make, certainly is longer than dead space.

dead space on the other hand has a great story, GREAT graphics and sound (sets the mood for the game just right) it just isnt that long. around 14 hours to finish.

dead space is probably my favorite game from last year, and that includes gta4, mgs4, and left 4 dead (lol, a lot of 4's in there)

it took me a while to beat though, cause i only played it in pitch blackness. the atmoshpere in the game is amazing

This is really tough question..i gave 10 to both the game since i loved both very much Well some complain about controls in prototype but i hav never felt anything difficuit i suggest u to hav both the games in your collection...

I've heard that playing Dead Space in a pitch black room makes the experience extraordinary. Unfortunately, I am unable to play it in a pitch black room, would I be missing out?

i have both and Dead space is by far the better game. I have played through it twice with M/KB.

Its better with mouse keyboard (console fanboys go away, it really is).

Dead Space all the way...

CLose the lights , close the doors , keep your sisters/brothers/mother/father out of the house ( so noone disturb you when you play by talking / open lights on next rooms , talking to telephone , yelling . laughing ) or/AND put VOLUME TO MAX ( i prefer Headphones , so you dont need to do the above) . And i quarantee you a nice experience!

Too much of cliche story , not something you havent seen as open world game ( GTA4 graphics and whole city is way better than prototype ) and nothing MAJOR to keep you entertaining as much... Such games need a good story progression and sadly Prototype have non...

Dead Space by leaps and bounds.

Everything that is fun in prototype gets old very very very quickly. Its probably one of the more repetitive games i have played recently.

Prototype. You have replayability with it, as when you finish the game you get to keep all of the powers you have unlocked.

Dead Space is too linear. The NPCs you battle always pop-up in the same places. In Prototype the NPCs are more random.

Yes, well, I'm currently in a situation where there are people all around me at all times and I'm usually getting yapped at while playing. In other words, it's pretty much impossible to really get immersed into a game.

So far, from what I've heard, Dead Space isn't nearly as good unless you play in a pitch black room all by yourself. I'd rather not play while somewhat distracted and miss out on the experience.

Dead space is a very exciting game . Although i stopped playing because it scared the :twisted: out of me ...

I recommend Crysis and Assassins Creed . You can get them for free , no need to pay .

dead space is better it has only kind of a lame ending.
