PS3 + This TV...

So I'm wondering how this TV will work with my future PS3:

I know it's not a "top quality" HDTV, but this is the price range I'm interested in.

So if you guy's could answer a few questions, that would be great.

1: First of all, does anyone have any experience with this specific model?

2: Will this TV provide decent HDTV gaming with my PS3?

3: I currently have non-HDTV Dish satellite programming. The TV say's that it has some built in TV tuners, but what does that do? Will I be able to screw in my current satellite coaxial cable into the back of the HDTV, just like I do now with my SDTV? Also, when something say's Broadcast in HDTV, like Monday Night and Sunday Night Football, will this HDTV display it in HDTV? I'm a real newb when it comes to HDTV.

4: Are the specs for this TV satisfactory for HDTV gaming and DVD/Blue Ray movies?

5: Will Blue Ray movies look better on this HDTV than normal DVD's? Or do I need a larger TV in order to notice?

6: Are there any better deals on HDTV's with a similar price range that I should get instead?

I know there's a lot of questions there, but I don't want to make a fullish purchase here. If I could get any or all of my questions answered, that would be great. Thanks.

1. No experience with this TV, heck never even heard of the name.

2. Most HDTVs provide decent quality for the masses on 720p. So your question here is kinda out of leap.

3. Yes basically you just answered your own question. You can accept HD broadcast and it will be displayed on your TV through 720p.

4. For someone on the budget, its pretty okay.

5. Blu-Ray movies are all encoded in HD formats, so yes they obviously will look better on a HDTV compared to a DVD. Since Blu-ray movies also support 1080p, you will need a screen larger than 50" to be able to see the difference between 1080p and 720p/1080i.

Well, I'd much rather buy a TV that other people have experience with, so I'll definitley consider the Vizio.

But I do want to make sure I'm crystal clear on you answer for question 3. Although I don't have HD programming, if a TV show say's "Broadcast in HD", like Football or some discovery shows, the Vizio will display the show in HDTV, even though I don't have HD programming? I believe that's what you said in answer three, but I want to triple check this, so I'm not kickin myself in the butt later on.

Also, look at the new Olevia 232T, I thought it was $499 when I saw it at the Office Depot store a couple days ago, but $549 online for some reason:

Of course, if you go see it in the store, don't expect to see a good picture, the splitting cables they used made Shreck look like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy VHS recording. While at home with a 232v 32inch Olevia, HD will knock your socks off. And the 232t is a newer model.

Atleast compared to the one you linked to, Olevia has been around for a while and has built up quality for price. Vizio recently showed up and seems to be liked too. That $1299 with 2 year warrany 50inch 1366*768 Vizio Plasma at Costco was tempting.

Try to stick with Olevia and Vizio for budget HDTVs. And I often hear the models you find at Walmart, even good brand names, can be poor quality compared to the other models sold elsehwhere.

And search any model number at AVSForum.com and you should find some talk about them.
