Other than being HUGE selling games, these 2 don't have much in common, so just think about it for a couple minutes....which is the better game? Which was better constructed, more fully realized, more fun, etc.?

This was a tough decision. It's a photo finish, but I think Diablo II just about pips Vice City to the post.

I havent play Diablo but I loved GTA...

I never played Diablo II, so I can't judge. Vice City was incredible, though.

Diablo II will win over any gta at any time.

But i voted for GTA vice city, it just so much fun.

Both games are good and both games are my favorites.

Both of them are different from one is other

If you like to fight evil with awesome characters in ancient times, Diablo 2 EXP is your game.

If you like to conquer a city in the 80 styles, Vice City is your game.

If you compare both of them, then I go with Diablo 2 EXP.

Diablo 2 is game that just keep getting better and better. I think anyone who likes competitive RPGs game of an sort should play diablo(with friends though). It will be an experience to remember

It's hard but...Diablo 2 + LoD.

tough choice but for me D2 had more replay value with its battle.net multiplayer

Isn't even a choice to me. Diablo II LOD is the game I invest more hours in my life, even if at the first time I didn't like at all. I think that the gameplay mechanics in DII LOD surpasses any other game to date with the only exception of EVE Online.

On the other hand, the GTA series are "common criminal simulators"; who cares about to be a trashy thug when you can command entire armies of Chaos in WH 40K, the Zerg Swarm in Starcraft or be a walking god as in Oblivion, Baldur's Gate or Diablo II LOD?

GTA's aren't epic. At best, can be as a well scripted noir film, or a good action film (H.E.A.T.), but can't bring to me the same sense of accomplishment as doing the Ubers in Diablo II. Also, check the popularity of both in Xfire.

Diablo 2 is the better game for most people.

I mean that everyone loves it, but I dont think its ALL THAT! Thats what I mean.

I suppose I am in the minority that enjoyed vice city more :(
