Hey,

My less than 2 month old PC is hurting. We had internet problems, and, while making things neat and straightening out wires, my father pulled the wrong wire and my PC and all fell on the ground. It is about a 3 foot fall. It cracked the plexi glass on my Raidmax case and left a few dings and dents. The PC turns on fine and runs perfectly fine. It was off when this happened and we didn't notice until a couple hours later. I would like to buy a new case and transfer eveyrthing over. Do you think my PC is really allright?

-Thanks

If it runs fine....just leave it be...and replace the part: http://www.raidmax.com/specs/smilodon.html

Thanks. If I put all of the guts in a new case, will it work fine upon startup, or will it need to be set up again?

-Thanks

The case is just a box, you don't have to et anything up just transfer the components

In theory yes! In reality it depends..if you have a lot of experience with computers..it should work fine. But it's a computer..you really won't know until you push the power-button.

Alright, thanks for the respnses. Now, as I said, it all seems to be working perfectly. Does this mean everything is alright, or can there be damage to parts without it showing. Basically, should I feel like it is "tainted" now?

-Thanks

No it's not tainted. Its not like a car, and if you don't change your oil ever you are running on borrowed time. There might be a problem, but if it works now I doubt it. Check your voltages, if they are where they are supposed to be i'd keep my eye on it but you should be fine.

if you are so worried go burn a CD with MemTest86. Download CPU tester. Download a GPU tester. We cant tell you if it is broke. As far im concerened the computer 100% up and running.

If I were you I would re-mount RAM, CPU, GPU and any other cards. If thats all you do. It is just waiting game until something happens, if anything happens. Computer parts are pretty durable, to an extent.

Thanks. That is what I figured. I am sure many parts get bopped around by shippers. The case has some damage, but, none of the components hit directly, they are still safely in the case and the PC was off. I think it IS 100% fine. Like I said, when shipped, those parts (graphics cards, processors, etc.) get bumped around probable worse than when my PC fell over.

-Thanks

I ordered a new case, same one, different color, and I will transfer and clean everything. The PC is completely fine, I have no issues at all.

-Thanks
