I bought a PC (w/XP) about 6 or 7 years ago. It got me through 5 years until i got an iMac (didnt really game much on the PC, so i didnt think of getting a new one). But now I'm itching to play some PC games but my RAM may not be enough (for my old PC). So I put an additional 150MB of RAM into it. Will the additional RAM show on my properties? Or will it show the original RAM even though i put in additional ones?

If you right click on my computer and select properties you should be able to view your RAM, but if you have over 3 gigs in RAM it won't show unless you have a 64 bit OS.

Adding 150MB (odd number here) won't get you very far. Not to mention that a 7 year old PC isn't going to play anything modern anyway.

Anyway, the new RAM should show.

Use dxdiag to check you RAM. The My computer properties isn't very accurate.

Start --> Run --> "dxdiag.exe"
