Whats the best graphic card out there for 350w stock? Can it handle a XFX Radeon HD 5770 if not, whats the best power supply for it. 450? 500?

Btw I use 2 monitors, one 24 inch, and the other a 20 inch. I'll be mainly using my pc to play mmo, but I want to max out all the settings, because im tired of low settings like seriously :(.

I'm planning to buy a new gcard, and if needed a new power supply as well.

A 500w would be best for a 5770. But you could get a Geforce 9800GT low power model that will run on that 350w and you can max all your MMO's. And play most other games on high settings. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5639258&CatId=3670

Hmm, thank you very much for this! Does it have the 1gig version instead of 512?. And the price is not that bad either. Btw, you think it can run Diablo III? Coz I really want to play that game as well as RTS games. Starcraft 2 and what not.

id agree with the above except low power 9800gt's are hard to come by.. like cmon their nearly 3 gens old already. omitting the agp 4670 its getting harder and harder to find 4000 series cards and basically impossible to find 3000 series cards.

id say hd 5670.. just as good there are no 512mb version that im aware of and its mere frames (under like 10) from the 9800gt's preformance. and in the event you live in europe, asia, the middle east, etc (basically not n. america and the UK) you can find the 5670 sp640 which beats it 90% of the time at anything quite badly.. while consuming no more power than a normal 5670.

your alternative to the above is to wait till january and see what the turks hd 6670 is like for power consumption. it could also be a good candidate. and while we have no benches or anything to proove this have it pegged up at 9800gtx preformance while sitting in the 900gt and 5670's price and power bracket (based on specs alone)

You could try a 4850, but that would be pushing it.

Just upgrade the power supply, and get a current gen graphics card. It'll be better in the long run, and you'll do a much better job at future-proofing yourself this way.

5770 is good for what you play but any upcoming new shooters and that card will fall over.

I'm not familiar w/ the ATi cards, so I can't help you there. How much were you looking to spend? And why do you keep choosing an ATi card over an nVidia one?

Well for games next year and the upcoming years, I still have my PS3, and I will use that to play 'em. The reason I want to buy a new gcard and all is because I want to play hardcore MMO games again with max settings all the time possible. But at the same time, play Diablo III, Starcraft 2, RTS. Yes.

If it's a high quality 500 watt PSU you could run an AMD 6870, 6850, or a Geforce GTX 460 on it. I think you'd be pretty blow away by the performance of any of them.

No. Not good. I highly recommend you go with a Corsair, Antec, PC Power and Cooling, Silverstone, SeaSonic, XFX, ABS, Cooler Master (80 plus models), or Rosewill Green Series. The first 7 I listed are some of the best brands.

Man I can't remember, but its a quadcore, one of those HP Pavillion from bestbuy lol. I don't have it right now, power supply went boom on me the other day, getting it fixed (for free). Apparently the power supply is in warranty, so the guy just ordered it.

That PSU most likely cost HP $15.

That's alright. If it's a quad-core you're in good shape.

Nope. A 5750 is slower than a 5770, which is roughly equal to a 4870.

4870 is faster unless you need DirectX11 . . . which you don't so far (and likely you won't need it for a while).

Either, but I've only bought Sapphire and I've had no problems. My Asus 9600GT died, but that was a long time ago, before I built my first PC.
