Does anyone know if F.E.A.R will run on Windows Vista?

Will it run on Vista Home Edition?

And can I run the game without any patch or do I need to install the latest one?

I hope someone can help me out.

It runs on my vista ultimate machine but I have the latest patch. Give it a go if it doesn't work then you've not lost anything, unless you are buying it specifically for a vista machine.

To answer your question:

1. Yes, it will play on your Windows Vista.

2. No, you don't need a patch the game to play it, however I'd recommend strongly that you find a way to do so. It's about 470mb patch that will bring your most updated game to v1.08

The patch adds lots of improvements to rhe game, fixing the bugs and polishing the games performance as well. Just make sure to have game "Soft Shadows" turned OFF in graphical settings, as it considerably stresses your system in frame rates.

1. plays great on vista providing you have 2gigs of RAM

2. defintely patch because iirc you wont be able to do multiplayer if you version is too out of date. i recall getting an error like that a few times i tried to join servers prior to patching awhile back.
