Iwas thinking about purchasing the Dell XPS M1330 (the new one) and i was wondering if it is good enough to play games like BF2 and C&C 3(I'm a noob at this stuff). Its 128MB NVIDIA® GeForceTM Go 8400M GS. Also, I am worrying about the fact of it breaking or anything in that matter because i have not bought many things online before. Are the chances low?? Please tell me......

The small formfactor XPS systems are pretty weak for gaming. I have a 1210 with the 7400 Go in it. It plays games decently but only on medium settings. I prefer my M1710 with the 7900GTX. It's much more bester.

I'm getting that exact same laptop, but I don't play too many PC games anymore. The 8400 GS is top of the line for a 13.3 inch notebook so it's the best your going to get. And it has 128mb dedicated then it can take some more from the RAM totalling 384mb (Assuming you get 2Gb of RAM). It will play all the older games on max settings. BF2 is REALLLYYYY GPU dependant and I'm honestly not sure an 8400 can push it past 35fps on medium settings. C&C 3 is quite tolerable with mid range GPUs, and I think you should be able to play it. Since this PC only comes with Vista, if you want these games to run fast I'm going to REALLY push you to get at least the T7300 processor (2GHz) and the 2 GB of RAM. it'll really help the games along. Now to address your other problems. I really don't think it'll break. From the reviews I've read, it seems to be built with great duarbility. And if you want, you can get 1 year of accidental protection for $69. I'm certainly getting it since this PC will be used in college.

Really, if you want this thing to play games, the 2GB of RAM is a MUST because it uses Vista and the faster the processor, the better.
