Raid 0 simple question

I think you can set up any hard drive in raid 0 even if the hdds are diff sizes but is that the best idea? Would they be most likly to crash if one is 320gb and one is 160gb? I know you will loose 160gbs from the 320 but that does not matter. Im asking if different size and model will effect the life of a raid 0 configuration. Thank you!

Is that the best idea? No, because you're wasting half of the larger drive. Will it affect the life of the RAID? No, the life of your hard drives will determine the life of the RAID. In RAID 0 if one drive fails the RAID fails.

Raid drives have to be limited in size and speed by the smallest and slowest drive in the array.
