i personally dont see what the big deal is about WOW. it just doesnt seem that fun and it takes way too long to do anything. i personally hate the game. who agrees? (and all u WOW fans feel free to verbally attack me all u want) :D
*Raises hand* Same here man, I dont find whats so good about it, I played it at my friends house for a day..I find it boring and hes at like level 44 or something. In my opinion I woudlent pay 15$ a month for it.
In general, RPGs all suck! They take so long to complete (which some people argue is a good thing), but it's not fun for many many hours, it's just boredom for many many hours. I've played a couple of RPGs in my life (including the NWN games, which I think were the best RPGs I've played), but none of them really captured my attention...the only reason I've ever played them is because I'm young and I've been bored for my whole life.
Then there's the fact that millions of people are paying a monthly fee to be bored...*sigh*...what a sad state of humanity!
LOL.. I wont say I hate it but I must say they definitley have marketed their game pretty well. The game play isnt anything out of this world and 8 mill people play it religiously. Im telling you , play WOW and then play SWG... not a whole lot of difference besides ones in space and ones in a midevil fantasy world
Hate is a strong word .. I just think it's mindless. They went after non-gamer with it's super easy gameplay. The game is gear based and gear is only a matter of how much time you invest, which would be most likely substantial. It's a neat game with a unique art design, but I consider WoW an IRC channel 1st and a game second.
Oblivion blew too... you have no idea how pissy it is to have the creatures level up with you... there's no sense of acheivement. oh and magic is broken (*cough* paralysis *cough*) whereas melee sucks...

I absolutly hate WoW, at first I hated it for no reason, Then I actually played it. Unistalled it literally 5 minutes later. Thanks for making this topic, it is truely needed
U are quite stupid to say the least. How can I hate a game?, I wonder if u know what the term “hate ” means. U can like a game, or not for different reasons. Not hate. U can’t hate a game , a tree ,a wall and so on. Think a little (no a great deal) before saying stupid things.

Games can be fun and addictive but the real WoW attics can be really crazy, I heard of a guy here in Sweden (where I live) who was getting really violent when his parents said that they forbid him to play WoW after that he locked himself up in his room and refused to come out until the police came and took him away... Seriously, thats sick.. I'm sure it's a great game once you get into it but it seems like you have to play it all the time and lose money on it... So I'm not saying that I hate WoW I just don't like it...

I don't like World of Warcraft, in that I don't like leveling and spending my life slashing at braindead AI enemies for loot and experience. Nor do I like paying a monthly fee.
Nobody likes fighting AI monsters where you press the same attacks after their cooldown runs out because their actions are scripted. They only do this for the loot and experience. So again, nobody enjoys playing WoW, only what they get from doing this "work".
I'd rather have a game where playing it is actually fun. It's fun so you don't need a reward to justify doing tedious actions.
It's undoubtedly one of the top 5 games of all time. The only thing it sucks is your life away. I don't feel a fanboy sense of responsibility to defend it, because it's untouchable. The game speaks for itself, so does the subscriber base, and the reviews (GS included). MMORPGs may or may not be your thing, but objectively, the game is an awesome achievement and deserves all of its success.

It's funny to see the shoe on the other foot here. How long has SWG been geting bashed on forums from haters trying to kill the subscribers from signing up? I do not condone mud slinging but I find it amusing that the immortal WOW has shown a little chink in it's armor.

This game is too complex and that`s why every lvl 70 ganker you`ll get standing at your body for hours is owned by a lil` imbecil kid who ruins the game. Too bad the comunity ruined it. eof

RPG's are fun on consoles and portalbes, but usually when they get to PC it's BORING or just not worth it. WoW is also for people with no life (ive played it)
I won't rise my hand couse it ain't stupid , it is a great game but need more fun time,and all the quests are like : go kill the boss take his loot and bring it back to me PvE ain't that good . Guild Wars is better
i enjoyed it while i played. after 6 months or so i got bored. the game was fun though.
it seems like most people have only two views about wow. either they hate it with a passion like you guys, or are so obsessed with it that they can't put it down.
Meh.. I dont think i hate WoW... But i think it's kind of a shame that was the game everybody started playing.. Because.. The game is not even super cool... It's gonna take years before all those WoW gamers gets their eyes up for other, way better games.

Game is the bane of MMOs, it contributes just as much as EQ did in taking MMOs in a direction they don't need to go. God damn carebear games there hasn't been an MMO with a good pvp system released in 6 years...
