RAM price cycle

as we all know, due to the cyclical nature of RAM prices, they are unbelievably high at the moment. any expectations as to when they'll be reasonable (or even better..dirt cheap) again?

I bought the 6gb DDR3 for just $54. I don't like how it's almost doubled in price right now.

i've been collecting parts as i see them on sale with plans of building a couple of new boxes, but i've been holding off on the ram due to exorbitant price points. i was aware of the overproduction of ddr2 -- i managed to snag 4GB of corsair xms2 for around 35 bucks last year for an older computer. i assume i won't be seeing any prices that low again?
