ram running slow please help!?!

Hi,

I've recently built a new computer, with a q6600, 8800gt and 2gb of ram.

My ram though only scores5.6 in Vista, and it's 2gb of corsair XMS2 800mhz, with 4-4-4-12 timings.

my motherboard originally recongnised it as 5-5-5-18, but i changed this in the bios to its recommended ratings.

does anyone have any ideas why its only scoring 5.6?

nope its not paired with any other, just 2x1gb in dual channel. the highest vista score is 5.9 i think, which is what the rest of my system is rated at, but the ram is only a 5.6.

what speed is it running at? and 5.6 isnt slow...

if it is running at stock 800 with 4-4-4-12 timmings that why.

vista may also just want more memory to get a higher score, but i dont see why you are using vista as a benchmark.

running 3dmark or something.
