have you tried doing a re-install of BF2142 and your Virus scanner?
Mine is AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 512mb RAM (not sure of the speed), ATi X700Prodawgsfan1447alright, now you need to figure out your temps for cpu and gpu. Download everest and tell us what are your idle temperatures and the temps you get under load (while playing a game i.e.).

Download everest and tell us what are your idle temperatures and the temps you get under load (while playing a game i.e.). I'll check that when I go back up (I'm down on the Mac right now) the only reason I don't think it's overheating is because the air blowing is really pretty cool and it doesnt usually happen under load or anything specific like that, it can be right after I sit down at it or in the middle of a game.
I think you have plenty of power for your system, unless you have a huge amount of expansion cards. I'd agree that it's either a faulty PSU or faulty RAM.guynamedbillyYeah, I was thinking that should be plenty of power, the only expansions are the X700Pro and a firewire card I think. Any way of finding out if it is the RAM or not? It could use a RAM upgrade anyway.
