I just got my 1gb stick of ram back from newegg, had to rma it.  When i put it in my computer i ran cpuz to see if it recognized it in dual channel but i look at the timings and they are different.  the first slot is 4-4-4-10 and the second slot it 5-5-5-15.  How do i get the timings equal and to the best timing?

Ram should automatically switch to the same timings, go into your bios and set the timings, but i would expect your motherboard to make the faster one go at the slower ones.

For best results with dual-channel memory you should use two identical sticks, preferable memory that have been dual-channel tested by the manufacturer.

they are the same exact memory brands and identical serial numbers. i bought them in a pack 2x1gb but one went bad and had to rma it to newegg and the new one had different timings.
