8 or 81/2 /10 solid parts but not the best it could be. there great parts but you could do alot more by pushing your envelopes.

Does any1 besides a server need 8GB ram?

or u plan on doing lots of virtual machines or some serious rendering

u realise u will never use 8GB then?

well atleast in that computers lifetime, u shoulda just got 4GB ddr3 ram, more than sufficient

amith almost no one sells ddr 3 in kits smaller then 6GB not to say you cant find them but there not common and chances are if you can afford ddr3-1333 or better you are probably running vista 64-bit (req. 4gb + and everyone recommend 6+)

actually I often go over 50% usage of my ram usage especially while running 4 bittorrent clients in the background while gaming. some times games along like gta4 uses over 60% of my 8 gb so 4 gb sometimes could be limiting.

Really? My PC shop here only sells in 4GB kits, and 3GB kits, doesnt hav 6GB at all,

my local suppliers with anything worthwhile (all 5 of them) will slel you it in 6GB and 8GB kits only from corsair, muskin, crucial, and OCZ

As a gaming computer I would give it a 9/10.

As a computer in terms of pure raw performance I would give it a 5/10.

As an everyday general use computer I would give it a 11/10

if the 4870 is a 1 gig I say 9/10, if the 4870 is 512mb I say 8/10. Put a 4890 in there and it gets a 10/10.

For The money cost i say 9/10 for flat Screen you said ur a flat screen so it 1280x1024 : it not consume lot
But it would only score a 7/10 : for 1920x1200

for gaming no for other stuff it wont hurt, photoshop can eat up ram in no time.
