I would like to buy a gaming desktop. I have about $2500 to spend, a little more or less is ok. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Please recommned any major brands or not too popular brands that you trust. I will list what I want out of the computer below. Thanks for any recommnedations. Note: I will not build a PC as I prefer customer service and warranties that computer companies give that cover the computer and everything inside of it.

Features I want:

-most importantly , in addition to beign a great gaming computer, it has to run programs like photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, video editing software, perfectly

-Nvidia EVGA or BFG 285 GTX or 295 GTX (graphics card must have 2 DVI, and an hdmi port or at least HDMI adapter for video and sound, i think 285 and 295 has this, phys-X, and 3D support.) I do not know if ATI has physx or 3D if they do I would consider getting one of there cards.

-if I can afford it I will get SLI so a good power supply that can support one or 2 of these cards would help

-6 or 8 gigs of ddr3 ram

-quad core 2.4 ghz or higher, i am guessing i should get newer i7 quad core

-Cd/ dvd drive with cd/ dvd burner decent burning speeds

-minimal 7200 or preferably a 10000 RPM hard drive with at least 150 GB

-windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

- if it is a computer with all sorts of lights on the outside i want the ability to turn them off.

i found this alienware which seems close to what i want, any thoughts please see below, this came out to $2,448

You would save a lot more money if you built it yourself. If i had $2500 to spend these would be my specs:

ATI Radeon 5970 HD

Intel Core I7

8GB of ram

1+ Terebytes of memory

sorry thats all i can do to help :( not very techy

If you built it yourself you would have money leftover :P

I would find someone on the forums to build it for you, there are some ppl who do that.

hehe; Crysis @ 1600p? If the OP wants to spend ~$2.5K on a computer, this would be the best way imo. :P

Josh- I noticed that your Alienware build didn't include a Monitor or a mouse. What do you already have that we don't need to include in this build?
