Im pretty burned out from "high octane" shooters, or "edge of your seat" horror games. I just want something I can put on and casually play for an hour or so...
thanks!

Audiosurf. (go ride your music, as relaxing as you want it to be. :P)

God yes! I second this!
World of Goo is great; its also a puzzle game, so its different than what youre used to.
Sins of a Solar Empire is also relaxing, except for the occasional "OMG my ally turned enemy and has 500 ships at my home planet" moments.
Silent Hunter 3 and 4 are also relaxing if you have the realism toned down...periscope death, launch a couple torpedoes, cruise down to 100 feet, pop back up, sink some more. Plus those long leisurely cruises are cool.
well, i'm not sure if you mean "casual" when you say "relaxing". To me relaxing means you can pick and put down the game at anytime and it's not to intense. I recommend trying out some turned-based strategies like CIV IV or Silent Storm. While a CIV IV game can last a very long time you can easily set a goal within an hour or two timeframe and pick it up later. The nice thing about TBS is there is not a lot of button mashing and undivided attention needed like shooters. Anyway, that's my thought and it may be a nice change of pace for you.
If you mean casual games, I don't play them. However, you might try Portal.
