Im pretty burned out from "high octane" shooters, or "edge of your seat" horror games. I just want something I can put on and casually play for an hour or so...

thanks!

Well believe it or not, my "relaxing" game in Call of Duty, nothing like a shooting a bunch of people in a completly mindless shooter to calm and relax you.

Could try Sins of a Solar Empire, great game and if you play a small game isn't all that intense.

Worms series? Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party, Worms 3D, Worms 4: Mayhem. Action packed but pretty relaxed. Or maybe a game like Roller Coaster Tycoon, just manage a park, watch the money flow in, let your imagination do the work.

Audiosurf. (go ride your music, as relaxing as you want it to be. :P)

World of Goo. Is a possibility.

Maybe some Peggle Deluxe. :)

Hmmm ... casual games. Have you ever seen Casebook? It's a bit like watching a film. Then there's Lemmings, I could never go past Lemmings, even though it got pretty stressful after a while. Aaaaand ... Flow, of course.

Peggle Deluxe is a good choice. Though it does get frustrating when you can't beat a challenge...

World of Goo is great; its also a puzzle game, so its different than what youre used to.

Sins of a Solar Empire is also relaxing, except for the occasional "OMG my ally turned enemy and has 500 ships at my home planet" moments.

Silent Hunter 3 and 4 are also relaxing if you have the realism toned down...periscope death, launch a couple torpedoes, cruise down to 100 feet, pop back up, sink some more. Plus those long leisurely cruises are cool.

Solitaire, mahjong, and Shot!online. These are the relaxing games my dad plays. I play Shot!online with him every once in awhile (online free golf game) and while it is relaxing it is a little too boring for my tastes.

well, i'm not sure if you mean "casual" when you say "relaxing". To me relaxing means you can pick and put down the game at anytime and it's not to intense. I recommend trying out some turned-based strategies like CIV IV or Silent Storm. While a CIV IV game can last a very long time you can easily set a goal within an hour or two timeframe and pick it up later. The nice thing about TBS is there is not a lot of button mashing and undivided attention needed like shooters. Anyway, that's my thought and it may be a nice change of pace for you.

If you mean casual games, I don't play them. However, you might try Portal.

The Witcher has a very casual feel to it at times, mainly because of the simple control scheme. I'm being serious here people!!

You should get Zeus: Master of Olypus! Excellent, slow paced city building game with very relaxing music :) Also Roller Coaster Tycoon is a very good, relaxing game.
