Hey all, not sure if this should be here or in video hardware section, but considering as I am asking a PC specific question, i figure it should go here. I recently recieved a HD PVR and i have a laptop which a PC game on a fair amount. This laptop has a VGA and HDMI out and I was hoping to hook up my laptop to the PVR to record footage. The PVR can take VGA, component and S-Video in so I have to convert to one of those formats. Trouble is, i have not the slightest idea how. This is just about getting the signal IN to the PVR, I will use my GFs laptop to record on to and then my TV (which the output PVR component cables run to) to actually play the game on. Any tips on how to set this up? It is a laptop and not a gaming one so FRAPS brings this thing to its knees, so programs like fraps are out. Thanks!

No fraps?

Well, I guess you could get a video camera, place it front of your screen, start recording and game away. Very hard to get decent quality that way though, unfortunetly
