Combat. Atari 2600. Yes, that is too old to be remotely relevent today, unless if it could be played on digital watches during classes.

First game I played was Super Mario Bros. 1 on the NES about 17 years ago (I was 6).

Oldest person I know who plays games is my gran who's in her late 60's. She can actually kick my arse at Tetris.

What was the first game (PC, Nintendo, Sega, PS, Xbox) you've played ever in your whole life?

How old is the oldest person you know (you included) who still plays video games?

makukiko

The first game I ever played was Duck Hunter for the SNES. I loved that game, it was so addicting.

The oldest person I know who still plays video games is my uncle who is 41

My first game was Pong, which is no real news flash. A lot of people can say the same. But then I got hooked on the Arcade games like....Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pacman, Ms. Pacman, Donkey Kong, Centipedes...etc. A friend of mine even bought a table version of Space Invaders, that you would see in a cocktail lounge, for his home....that was awesome fun !

I stopped playing after the arcade thing died out and started back up again in 2001 with an Xbox and Halo. The following year I started with PC gaming and haven't looked back since.

I'm the oldest person gaming that I know....54, soon to be 55..............8)

I played my first game at an arcade in the early 80s. I don't remember if it was Pac Man, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Pole Position, or Tron.

Some top down racing game on the Intellivision on the console, don't remember the name though. Joust in the Arcade. and Q-bert on the PC.kilaan

Was it Tripple Action on the Intellivision? Did it include a tank and plane game as well?

I loved the tank part of that game. The bouncing bullets with stealth tanks made for a fun game. Lots of accidental shooting would occur from shoot checking you location and having the bullet bounce back into you.

Total Annihilation (still can't get spelling right after 10 years). Next was Star Ocean, which has got to be one of my favorite RPGs in the world. Reminds me, I need to find a simulator to run the sequels on my PC.

Pac-Man on the 2600. I can't remember if I played Pong or not. I was 4 in 1979...so it probably was Pong. I do remember playing Pac-Man for hours though.

My first console was a famicon back in 91 or 92 at the age of 6, and the first games i recall playing were, Don Key Kong, Super mario, and Duck Hunt. I've been an avid gamer ever since, I got into PC gaming in the late 90's, my first computer games were, Men In Black, NBA Live 99, and Worms Armaggedon I think. tough I did play a lot of Carmen San Diego around 95 in a friend`s computer, but back then consoles were much better. The oldest gamer I know is in his early 30`s.

Pffff, no idea, but the very first games I played were the once you had to write from a book into your pc before you could play them... really insanely old games, some were like Pong, some totally different.

Pretty much played everything between then and now, but compared to those first games back then Doom 1 was extremely next -gen.

My first game ever was Pong on an arcade console. My first game system was Atari 7800 (same level of graphics as the original NES.) I played Robotron and Xevious on that until my thumbs were swolen. First PC game was (not counting Solitaire at work) was Wolfenstein 3D. Had a crappy sub 286 with a 20 Megabyte HD and no extended memory so I had to play the game in a window about the size of a Shreddie. Still it was enough to get me hooked and I still play (Crysis, GoW, CoD 4, Asian Dynasties etc.) every chance I get. I'm 45 but the oldest game player I know, is my Dad's father-in-law. He saw my son's Wii last Christmas and pestered Walmart every day for two months until he got one of his own to play Wii Sports. He's 76. How cool is that?

That's funny. I remember the first time I saw Doom on a friends computer, just before I upgraded from the old POS I mentioned above. I remember my jaw dropping at the life like graphics. At the time, I couldn't picture them getting any better than that.
