Darn, i'm really looking for something new. WoW is getting kinda stale now. Its a good game, so far the the instances and mechanics, seem to be inferior to wow, but not by much. I am only a level 26. It might be a really good game it is a work in progress the developers are working off off player feed back, it is solid , I actually made a thread about it sucking, because i really couldnt get into it for the first 18 levels, and the first instance I ran seemed very hokey compared to wow. I gave it another chance, finially got a mount and now I am enjoying it, there is a ton of stuff to and leveling seems to take along time. There are 12 world zones, I am level 26 and have only been to 2 of them, I asked about it in chat and they said it takes alot longer to level whwn you hit 30 or so. I hear the end game raids are good, havent tried them. If you are sick of wow give it a shot, it is actually cool, I still think wow is overall a better game,for now, but that dosent matter if you are sick of it. I dont think you will be disappointed. I already have 1 day 9hrs played and I only started saturday, MMos seem to be the only games I can play these days for more then 1 hr at a time with out getting bored.

There are many things that make it different to WoW the drop in/out public Rifts which are fun. They're doing a Major world event at the moment which will be good to follow, If you want I can PM you a Trail code I got, for being a member in the game. Im level 24 atm, The only thing i find really irritating if the fact that theres a drop i need to level up in potions and the chances of getting said item is like 1:1.5million.
Rift definately has some serious similarities to WoW. But it's a great game. The class system is good and I personally love the world. Walking around and checking things out actually is fun.
Not as bad as your post. Don't listen to this trash, it is no more a WoW ripoff than any other mmo that came out after WoW. The WoW ripoff thing was made up by WoW fanboys who felt threatened when their guildmates all started preordering Rift. Yes like every other post-WoW mmo it has similarities, but it also has ALOT of different stuff thrown in too. Last time I checked Rifts soul system, Rift system, and elite mobs invading entire zones daily were not in WoW. You WoW fanboys need to just go play your little game and have fun.....stop hatin.

I've got several characters in the game, one being in the 40's level wise. I can tell you the game is great. I've played WoW, LOTRO and Rift and rift is by far my favorite. The class system is super in-depth and blows most MMO's out of the water. The Rift events and the PVP cooperation on events are handled very well and a lot of fun to do. The world is large and fun to explore. Of course it's still an MMO so the quests are kill and loot things, but the overall story is good, and the dungeons are great. I'm having lots of fun with the game, and while it may look and act like WoW, it isn't WoW, and of course wow wasn't the first of it's kind, wow is simply a copy of games before it. Rift takes the good things of mmo's and executes them very well. I highly recommend this game, especially if you are an mmo enthusiast. Played since Beta 4 and I'm still enjoying it.
I was in the beta for bit and I like it. Would I buy probably someday. One thing that struck me was the grapics seem much better in rift which is a win for me since I'm the type of person that likes to FPS's like Crysis but where its falls short is the aging hotkey system don't about you guys but I just got done trying out vindictus and that was a major breath of fresh air combat system wise but its just lacking in other places for me to really to be my main game I'd play. My two cents at least
rift is kinda slow starting, at least in my opinion. the first 15 or so lvls are rather boring, but thats just my opinionjrorl63
Agreed, i didnt start liking it till level 20 or so, that was 15 hrs or so. some people may not make it, but now i am really enjoying it. It has a charm that grows on you. I searched for the most populated server before i made a character, i am on wolfbane, it is full all the time with tons of action all the time, only downside is Q's during primetime
